Getting Around Atlanta
Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) buses and trains serve the Airport, Downtown, Buckhead, Perimeter, Lenox, and other popular destinations. Trains operate Monday through Friday (4:45am to 1am) with 15 minute service until 7 pm (and every 10 minutes from 6 to 9am, and 3 to 7pm); night service after 8:30 pm is every 20 minutes. On weekends and Holidays trains operate with 20 minute service on all lines, from 6am to 12:13 am. Bus schedules vary by neighborhood. The Atlanta Streetcar operates in downtown Atlanta, running in a loop from Centennial Olympic Park to the heart of the Old Fourth Ward. The Streetcars operate Monday through Thursday from 6am to 11pm, Friday from 6am to 1am, Saturday from 8:30am to 1am, and Sunday from 9am to 11pm. Streetcars run approximately every 10 to 15 minutes.
